Sharepoint Programming Questions 

I am currently in the process of commiting to a web designin platform. I currently use Microsoft Frontpage, but will be upgrading from that.

For a person who is intermediate with web design (I am not fluent in HTML or other more advanced languages, but know my way around Frontpage), which platform woudl you recommend?

Additionally, if you can offer a comparison between Expressions and Sharepoint with Frontpage being a baseline, that would be great (as I currently use frontpage and am ticked that the product has split into two)

I am looking for comparison between:
- user friendliness
- ability to learn more within the program and for the prgram to adapt to that learning curve (i.e. I fully intend to learn, for example, Java and want to be able to integrate it)
- ability to integrate multimedia
- accessibility - TRUE accessibility as the web content is for people with diasabilities
- any other thoughts?

How do I do this. Is there an easy way to do this or will I need to write a program in .net in C#. I can do either

something like frontpage or sharepoint designer. The proper name is what you see is what you get, i know!

More specificly, I used a program a while back that let me create and add meta tags, keywords, etc to all pages in a website at the same time. I could change the title and all the other little stuff all at once. Now i can not remember the name of that program, any one know it? I think it was a front page add-on but i could br wrong.

I have to create a simple web page with some text, but mainly multimedia such as images, music, videos. I also need buttons or tabs that have hyperlinks.

So I wanted to know what program do you suggest for a beginner to make a web page?

Should I use something like Microsoft Expression Web or Sharepoint Designer? Also can you suggest any websites that have tutorials or help for using these programs and making web pages?

I need some serious help with this porgram, here are some simple questions that i can ask about this program.

1)What are tasks panes?
2)What are the 6 tasks panes when you open the software?
3)what are groups of controls?
4)What file extension do you save with??
5)what is the find/replace query?
6)what is Alt text?
7)what does the accessibility pane do???

8)What does view all do?
9)why do you need to create a master page?

if you could please answers these questions i have that would be great, i do not get the software, and i want to make a website!

I am using Dreamweaver right now, but I want to know more about Sharepoint and Expressions. Anyway in your opinion what do you use and why (if you want to)

I am an amateur web designer. I just bought a new computer that came with Windows Vista. I was using Microsoft Frontpage before, but Frontpage isn't going to come out for Vista. Does anyone have any suggestions for an easy to use html program that is compatible with Vista, or am I going to have to wait for Microsoft SharePoint Designer to come out; which is what Microsoft is putting out to replace Frontpage.

We are trying to integrate sharepoint into our computer system so that we can track client phone calls. We cant seem to find a way to do this. We are trying to get the program to automatically pop up a screen with the callers information based on the callers ID and enable us to leave call tracking notes on that system. Is this possible?

I am trying to figure out how to create Web sites using Sharepoint. Can someone give me a good link to a site that walks me through how to do everything from the beginning? I have been searching but cannot find anything. A site that helps people with no experience creating Web sites.

I have made a simple Web site before for school, but I am taking all programming classes so I am trying to teach myself how to create Web sites. I know some ASP.NET.

Also, A that shows how to create Web sites in Visual Studio would work too. I have used Visual Studio many times to build programs.

I want to make a web data base from an excel spread sheet with all the functions and formulas that the data base does. I want it to be easy to use with drop down menus and boxes to enter in information. I am doing this for work on sharepoint so other employees can utilize this tool as well. Is there a program that will take all the excel data and make a nice looking page that will still give you all the details without anyone even using the excel spreadsheet?

I have a client that's running Sharepoint 3.0. They're interested in a project that will require me to program some Active Server Pages to interact with a SQL Server database. I can do everything I need to in ASP and SQL, I just need to know if Sharepoint will know what to do with an ASP page... (I'd prefer to use the older ASP, not .NET...)
