Does anyone know how I would run a md5 hash duplicate file check on a SharePoint 2003 farm? I need it to be an automated tool for the entire farm.

Task:
Provide Updated information on the screen.
Conditions:
1x monitor/ large display screen connected to a computer that has intranet access.
Unlimited access to server/website on intranet.
Advanced HTML/Java experience.
Microsoft Office 2003/2007
Internet Explorer (NO, I cannot use firefox)
Microsoft SharePoint Services
Administrator rights
Standard:
Provide multiple points of updated information on this screen by marquee, powerpoint slide show, RSS, and/or Microsoft excel, without the screen having to apear as if it "refreshed" just like an airport and the tickers on the news channels. If the screen blinks or is without some type of info for long enough to notice with the human eye when I refresh, and if a dumb user cannot update it, it won't work.

Anyone know of a very good HTML Editor we can plug into our web pages for IE6+ users that can handle MS Word 2003 cut/paste content? The pasted word data will be mostly tables and images.
We're using Asp.net 1.1 and Sharepoint Services 2.0 on a Windows 2003 box. We'd like to find a free solution but anything commercial less than $1000 is acceptable too.

How do you Publish your Website to the internet. There are loads of choices 1) Frontpage or Sharepoint Services
2) Webdav 3) Ftp 4) File System. Which one of theese do you choose and what is my (http:/) is that supossed to be your website address?

At present I have(UK) talktalk.net. Broadband web space (15MB)but it does not allow Windows Sharepoint Service, can I get around this or which will be the cheapest way to do this as this will make the site a lot better.
The software I'm using is MS frontpage 2003 to up-load/download this work fine but does noe support MS Sharepoint Services?

I have an intranet that uses MS Sharepoint Services 2003. This has a lot of information that I would like to be made viewable to my mobile users. I have authentication set up so that isnt an issue, I was wondering if I need to make a new view for them, or add a few lines of code in the exhisting page or what. What would be the easiest way?
We are all using Blackberry 8830 series.
I know a lot about web design, except this WAP and mobile stuff is new to me.

I am currently learning Frontpage 2003 but it has lots of problems and also issues of MS Sharepoint and FPSE. So i want to shift now to Dreamweaver 8. Can you please tell me which of these 2 is the best software? Should i start learning Dreamweaver?

I've got SBS2003 running on a server. When we set it up we used a xxxx.local domain and that's not what I want anymore. I want to run it as a normal domain (a different one than is used right now) and I'm not sure how to change it other than starting over with a new reinstall which I think is a bad idea. So, can I make some changes to point the server to a new domain name that will change Exchange, Sharepoint, etc.? I'm trying to make it so that I can have a Sharepoint website be external ( http://www.xxxx.com/sharepoint or something) and also change the domain that Exchange references. I used to have a business and that's the domain that's being used but now I want to change it to something else. Any help is appreciated.

I have ms office sharepoint portal server 2003 and office 2007. When I click import contacts from outlook 07 I get a message stating:
To import contacts, you must have an address book compatible with windows sharepoint services and you must have internet explorer 5.0 or greater.
It is a VBS script error.
I have IE 6.0 and I need to find a patch or workaround for reverse compatibility between office 2007 and sharepoint 03.
Any ideas?

I'm running Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise. I installed the Windows Sharepoint Services as a role from the 'Configure your server' wizard. Where would I locate the version of WSS? I'm guessing it's 2.0 but I'm not sure.

I am a network admin and I have 2 users who need to work on the same Excel 2003 file at the same time and make various changes to it. Right now, if one person has it open and the other tries to open it, it will open a read only copy that the other user is not allowed to change.
I was looking at sharepoint server and was inquiring as to if it was capable of letting them both work on it at the same time and not losing eithers data when they save it.
