I have a case where I need to query a list for an item based on the values in more than one field. (For example sake, something like Lastname = Jones and Firstname = John) There may be several 'Jones' and several 'John' in the list. As far as I've been able to tell, the only thing I can do is search for one or the other and the result will always be the first item encountered. How can I query a list from within a SP Designer workflow with matching criteria in more than one field?

I am using vmware fusion to run windows on my mac. it works just fine for just about everything but i am now designing pages for SharePoint 2007 and i cannot access sharepoint with Internet explorer (which we all know is a must when working with sharepoint). every time i try to access the page i get a 401.2 error (unauthorized). i looked the error up but the forum does not seem to work on my system. Is there anyone who can bypass this problem for me. I know it is related to IE and IIS and Cache password authentication but i dont know enought to fix it yet.

Hi, would a sharepoint server be more suited to:
1. A 15 person company based in one single office, which employs around 25 out workers, some mobile and some working mainly from home.
2. Or A multinational enterprise with 500+ people, based in offices in NewYork, London and Milan.
Which of the above two would it be more suited to is my quiestion!

Agree with the above... sharepoint is a bit of an overhead in maintenance for a small community site.

yes, they both write to a standard. hell you can open the files in a text viewer.

Hi, there are few things i encountered when i using sharepoint 2007 which i dont understand.
1. i created a custom master page, the view of my sharepoint site is different . for IE looks fine but firefox actually the layout of my page looks different from IE. IT have a big blank gap between the content and the menu. anyone encounter this before?
2. how can i create custom page instead of using the page template they provided? as it seems unable to additonal images when i edit in the browser.can i use visual studio instead?

Each discussion can be assigned a different incoming email address, so I can email directly to different discussion groups, but all of the discussion groups in a site seem to share the same outgoing email address - so when I get emails from a sharepoint discussion, there's no way to know which one?
